Catalogue of nautical letters from Angola

The Hydrographic Institute (HI) prepared the catalogue of nautical letters from Angola at the request of the Interministerial Commission for the Delimitation and Demarcation of Angola’s Maritime Spaces.
With this publication, Angola now has a catalogue representing the current cartographic folios, as well as a scheme for a new cartographic folio of Angola, which satisfies the safety of navigation in accordance with international standards and specifications.
With the preparation of this publication, the IH intends to contribute to the promotion of the safety of navigation in the areas under Angolan jurisdiction.
The nautical charts represent the usual and safe way to make information available to the navigators. The official character they have, when produced by government entities, allows them to be viewed as a legal resource, which provides elements to their users about the existing legislation in the represented geographical area.
