NRP mission Admiral Gago Coutinho in the Madeira Archipelago - 2018

The NRP vessel Admiral Gago Coutinho is in the Madeira Archipelago conducting an oceanographic campaign in collaboration with the OOM (Ocean Observatory of Madeira). This campaign consists of measuring surface currents at 600 m depth through hull ADCP profiles, measuring various physicochemical parameters of sea water through CTD profiles and stations, collecting sea water with Rosette, launching oceanographic moorings and other scientific activities.

This mission will extend until 28 July, with the ship's subsequent return to Alfeite Naval Base.
