The Secretary of State for National Defense visited the Hydrographic Institute

The Secretary of State for National Defense (SEDN), Professor Ana Santos Pinto, visited the Hydrographic Institute (IH) this Thursday, 20 December 2018, where it was received, upon arrival, by the Chief of Staff of the Navy and National Maritime Authority, Admiral Mendes Calado, and by the Director-General of the IH, Rear Admiral Ventura Soares.

The work visit aimed to present the existing capabilities in the IH in the service of the Navy, the Maritime Authority, the scientific community and the citizen using the sea. There was also an opportunity for the presentation of ongoing projects in the area of sea research, which allow the IH to contribute to the economic and scientific development of the country.

At the end of the visit, the Secretary of State for National Defense signed the Honor Book, where she left a word of appreciation for the technical and scientific work that is developed in the IH at the service of Defense and Science.
