42a IBSC meeting 2019

The Director of the Hydrography and Oceanography School of the Hydrographic Institute, elected last year by the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) as one of its four representatives at FIG/IHO/ICA International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartooners (IBSC), participates between March 25th and April 5th at the 42nd meeting of this group.

This meeting organized by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and the Hydrographic Center of the University of New Hampshire of the United States will have as its main point, in addition to the discussion of the regulations, the review of the 16 submissions for recognition from 12 different countries.

For the first time in recent years, all revisions will be defended in person, which means that delegations from 12 countries will be present.
