40. Anniversary of Hydrographic Brigade No. 2
In the context of the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Hydrographic Brigade No. 2 (BH2), the Hydrographic Institute received, on 7 April 2016, at its premises - Trinas and Azinheira Hydrographic Base, the visit of former BH2 heads, as well as elements that were part of the various garrisons of the brigade over these years.
The visit began at the premises of the Trinas, with a welcome session by the Director-General of the Hydrographic Institute, Rear Admiral Coelho Candido, which followed the institutional film and a passage through the divisions of the Technical Directorate – Data Center, Navigation, Oceanography and Hydrography.
Visitors also went to the Hydrographic Base, based in Seixal, where they had the opportunity to visit the Hydrographic Brigade and attend a presentation by the current chief, CFR Delgado Vicente, about the activities and missions currently assigned to this area. The event ended with the display of a video about the evolution of the Hydrographic Brigade activity over these 40 years.
