4th General Assembly of the European Blue Cloud project 2026

It began on Tuesday, November 5, at the Hydrographic Institute, the 4th General Assembly of the European Blue Cloud project 2026. The project, which runs from January 2023 to June 2026, is funded by the Horizon Europa programme and brings together 40 partners from 13 European countries.

Blue Cloud 2026 is based on the previous Blue-Cloud pilot project, which established a pilot cyber platform, providing researchers with access to multidisciplinary databases of observations, analytics services and computational capabilities.

The Blue Cloud 2026 project aims at the evolution of this pilot ecosystem to a European Federated Ecosystem, capable of providing FAIR analytical data and services, which are instrumental in further research into the oceans, seas and coastal and inland waters of the European Union.

The General Assembly of the project, started on Tuesday, brought to the IH about 53 participants from the various partner institutions, with the aim of presenting the developments made during the last semester and planning the activities to be carried out in the coming months.
