2020 Annual Awards

The jury for the “Admiral Augusto Osório” award, under the 2020 Annals Awards of the Naval Military Club, deliberated and awarded the award for the best work of 2020 to the captain-of-mar-and-war council Miguel Bessa Pacheco, for the article “Subsidies for the History of Hydrography”.

The article is the result of a historical investigation into the origins of the training of hydrographer engineer in the Navy and the great hydrographic and cartographic effort carried out throughout the twentieth century to map the maritime spaces of national interest.
