2nd CPLP Hydrography Conference

On this Monday, November 4, the holding of seminars in the framework of the CPLP 2nd Hydrography Conference, which will take place until the end of the week at the Cape Verde Maritime and Port Institute, Mindelo.

Yesterday, seminars were held in the following areas:

• acquisition of hydrographic data (planning, execution of a survey, quality assurance);
• Maritime Safety Information (MSI), with a summary of the MSI course carried out the previous week by VTC and a set of practical exercises relating to the preparation and dissemination of warnings to navigators and warnings to navigation;
• Challenges associated with the implementation of the specifications of new products and services S-100, from 2026.

On Tuesday, November 5th, the topics discussed are the processing of hydrographic data, sea marking and navigation aids, and oceanography and geophysics.

Some 50 representatives from the various CPLP countries participate in the seminars.

On Wednesday, November 6, the Solemn Opening Session of the Conference will take place.
