First meeting HSWG - IHO
The Hydrographic Institute (HI) participated last month in the first working meeting of the newly graduated Hydrographic Surveys Working Group (HSWG) of the International Hydrographic Organization (OHI). the HSWG is a group created for the maintenance of reference hydrographic publications of the OHI, as well as for the management of various specific hydrography issues to be discussed at the international level. The first working meeting, lasting 2 days, took place in a virtual room and was attended by 50 representatives from around the world, between national hydrographic services and hydrography-related companies, including a representative of the IH by Portugal, and an IH member Chaining Committeee. The next general meeting is scheduled for the beginning of 2022 with the holding of several partial interim meetings by then.
