1st and 2nd edition of the Sample Collection Course for maritime police officers

The 1st and 2nd edition of the Sampling Course took place on 25 and 26 September, in the context of counter-ordering processes for illegal marine pollution.
These editions of the course were intended for maritime police officers in charge of their duties, linked to the Maritime Department of the Centre, the first to be carried out in this context.
Other issues are already planned, which will extend to the other Maritime Departments by the end of the first quarter of 2019.

The course is taught in collaboration between the Hydrographic Institute (Division of Chemistry and Pollution of the Marine Environment) and the National Maritime Authority (Direction to Combat Pollution of the Sea).
The themes are addressed in a theoretical and practical way, focusing on the documentation in use in the area, the sampling techniques and material to be used for sampling at the site of the incident and the suspicious sources and their chemical analyses carried out.
