11th Edition of the International Summer School in Analytical Science, Metrology and Accreditation

The Hydrographic Institute was attended by a member of the Marine Environment Chemistry and Pollution Division at the 11th Edition of International Summer School on Analytical Science, Metrology and Accreditation, which took place in Tallinn in Estonia from 8 to 21 July. This course had as main objective the learning in the area of quality assurance, metrology and accreditation having attended 14 countries of 4 continents. The themes of traceability, quality control, uncertainty calculation and conformity assessment of results, as well as concepts and application of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard that defines general requirements for competence of testing and calibration laboratories, were addressed.
