The National Championship of Professions WorldSkills Portugal 2024 came to an end

The 46th National Championship of the WorldSkills Professions Portugal, which took place from 11 to 16 November at EuroParque, Santa Maria da Feira, ended. The closing ceremony was attended by 1400 people and was broadcast on streaming to nearly 6,000 viewers.

The Hydrographic Institute (IH), through protocol with Casa Pia, was once again part of this great event, with Pedro Coelho, the watchmaker master of the IH, playing the role of juror.

More than 400 young people from various regions of the country competed representing 59 professions. The competitors faced practical challenges that simulated real work situations. Each test was evaluated by groups of jurors composed of highly qualified experts. Pedro Coelho was responsible for evaluating the participants of the Watchmaking Course, taking into account his extensive experience in the area.

The most qualified young people will represent Portugal in the EuroSkills international competitions in 2025 and the WorldSkills in 2026.
