IH SENSORTECH
The Ocean Observation Technology Development Center – IH SENSORTECH, based on the Azinheira Hydrographic Base, has the mission of supporting the development of marine observation technologies, aiming at meeting the internal needs of the IH and cooperation with other state laboratories, universities, technological research centers, collaborative laboratories and industry, in particular startups and/or SMEs, in order to contribute to national development.
IH SENSORTECH:
- Promotes low-cost sensor development and instrumentation projects for marine environment observation;
- Colabora no desenvolvimento de capacidades de robótica, big data e inteligência artificial, para efeitos de observação do meio marinho, participando em provas de conceito e experimentação no mar;
- Develops oceanographic engineering capabilities, benefiting from experience in the operation of the observation systems currently held by the IH;
- It shall develop research, development and innovation activities within the marine environment observation technologies of interest to the IH, the Navy and external, national and international partners.
