International Day Monuments and Sites 2017

THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF MONUMENTS AND SITES 2017 will promote several events on April 18th, or on upcoming dates, subordinate to the themeCultural Heritage and Sustainable Tourism.

"In a time of marked economic and cultural globalization, profound social changes and exponential increase in the number of tourists, safeguarding, studying, interpreting and presenting the heritage and cultural diversity of territories and countries are a key factor for tourism, in that they value cultural differences and reinforce knowledge and respect among peoples. A Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage, in collaboration with ICOMOS Portugal, promotes the dissemination of this theme in order to celebrate the benefits of a healthy relationship between sustainable development of tourism and cultural heritage."

The IH is associated with this initiative promoting several events, including:

- What? Two lectures;

- What? an exhibition;

- What? Guided tours.

- What? the submission of the proposal is carried out;

- What? created the exhibition poster;

- Chosen and printed the photos;

- What? Created exhibition catalog, missing print.
