I-PLASTIC

The main objective of the project is to understand and predict the dispersion, accumulation and impact of micro and nanoplastics in marine environments, from the tropical and temperate earth-ocean interfaces to the open ocean.

The Hydrographic Institute will participate in the planning and execution of two scientific cruises on the Portuguese coast to collect water and sediment samples for PM particle analysis.
