Hydrographic Institute is present at the WorldSkills National Championship Portugal

The Hydrographic Institute (IH), through protocol with Casa Pia, is once again present in the National Championship of WorldSkills Portugal. This year's edition, which starts on Monday, November 11th, again counts on Pedro Coelho, IH watchmaker master, as a juror.

WorldSkills Portugal is a competition aimed at young people between the ages of 17 and 25, who have completed or are taking a training course through vocational education and training. This competition aims to demonstrate the individual level of skills, rigor and mastery of techniques and tools for the exercise of each profession in competition. Young people will carry out practical performance tests that will be evaluated according to technical requirements established internationally by juries composed of highly qualified experts (trainers, professionals, entrepreneurs). This championship will determine the Portuguese representation in international championships.

Pedro Coelho, who is a watchmaker at the Service of Precision Instruments of the Hydrographic Institute, thus shares his wisdom and extensive experience in the area. His collaboration as a jury is an asset for the credibilization of the Watchmaking Course, as well as that of the championship.

The new edition of the WorldSkills Portugal National Championship takes place from 11 to 15 November in Europarque, Santa Maria da Feira.
