School of Hydrography and Oceanography is recognized again internationally

The Specialization Course in Hydrography, taught by the School of Hydrography and Oceanography of the Hydrographic Institute was once again recognized by the International Board on Standards of Competence for Hydrographic Surveyors and Nautical Cartographers (lBSC) of the International Geometric Federation, International Hydrographic Organization and International Cartographic Association, as complying with the requirements for the Category. “A” of the respective standards of competence.

To this end, the IBSC has issued to the Hydrographic Institute a certificate of recognition number 246, valid for a period of 6 years, thus allowing the course to continue as one of the 22 Hydrography courses worldwide with the highest degree of international recognition.

It should be noted that the first recognition of the course took place in 1983, with the issue of certificate No 7 and thus the seventh course to be recognized internationally under Hydrography.

The Specialization Course in Hydrography, taught by the Hydrography and Oceanography School of the Hydrographic Institute, is also available to the civil community.
