Delgado Vicente is the new Technical Director of the Hydrographic Institute
On Friday, Captain-of-the-sea Delgado Vicente took office as the new Technical Director of the Hydrographic Institute (IH), succeeding Comodoro Antunes de Almeida in the role. The ceremony was presided over by IH Director-General, Rear Admiral Almeida Pereira.
In his inaugural address, Comandante Delgado Vicente expressed his total motivation, loyalty, commitment and determination in performing his duties, emphasising that the unity of all those who work here will enable us to create credible solutions and enhance and develop the Institute's capabilities, contributing to the development of its activities.
During the ceremony, Comodoro Antunes de Almeida was awarded the Naval Cross Medal in recognition of his high merit, professional competence, dedication and exemplary performance in the exercise of his functions.
The Instituto Hidrográfico would like to express its deepest gratitude to Comodoro Antunes de Almeida for his years of dedication to the IH, his exemplary leadership and his extraordinary human qualities demonstrated in the management of his team.
