IHO-IAG ABLOS Seminar "OCEANIC DATA SHARING AND THE LAW OF THE SEA"

SAVE THE DATE: Share of Ocean Data and the Law of the Sea to be discussed in Lisbon.

On 16 September 2026, a seminar entitled “Oceanic Data Sharing and the Law of the Sea” will take place at the Hydrographic Institute (IH) in Lisbon.

This seminar, organised jointly by the International Hydrographic Organisation (IHO), the International Association of Geodesy (IAG), the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission – UNESCO (IOC-UNESCO) and the IH, will bring together various national and international organisations.

The programme includes a number of presentations and panel discussions on both legal and scientific aspects, with a view to providing an opportunity for knowledge-sharing, debate and reflection on the challenges associated with ocean data sharing and its relationship with the Law of the Sea.
